One of the things I miss most about St. Louis is going to Cardinals games at Busch Stadium. It is just one of those things you can't get anywhere else. Family and friends can visit but just running to a random game is impossible when you live so far away. I'll go see the Orioles and enjoy myself, but it's not the same when it isn't your team.
I really dropped the ball on Cards games last year...and well this year too. I could have gone to Philly this past weekend but wasn't paying enough attention. And the Cards are out of town the weekend I'm going to St. Louis. But I did manage to get to the Cards/Nats game last night.
It was supposed to be really cold, so I was prepared to freeze. But the sun came out around 2:00 and it warmed up 15 degrees. So by the time the sun set it was actually just a nice, normal spring night.
I was very happy to root for my boys and come away with a win. It really could not have been a better night...well except if Wainwright had been able to go all 9 innings. But I was too scared too when they took him out so I respect the call.
