Nashville Part 5 - The Hermitage

So on Easter Sunday everything was closed and it was rainy all day. Oh and it's the south and I couldn't buy any moonshine. Not the most wonderful way to end a weekend trip, but we made the most of it.

First we stopped by one of the best breakfast places in town, Pancake Pantry. I had the most amazing sweet potato pancakes. With a cinnamon syrup. It was just amazing...totally worth the 35 minute wait out in the rain.

Next we tried to go to another plantation. It was closed. So we wandered around a Civil War cemetery.

Next stop was the Hermitage, aka Andrew Jackson's home. We also saw his original cabin. He really moved up in the world. We were short on time before our flight, so we didn't tour everything, which is good because apparently the video just talked about what a shitty human AJ was.

Our flight was then delayed so we spent a lot of time talking about boys and booze hoping a plane showed up before we fell asleep. Whirlwind weekend, but worth it.
