Chocolate Making
Last week I took a chocolate making class at Sweet Cascades Chocolatier. It was well worth the price and we had a ton of fun. We brought wine, mine was from a wine and chocolate tasting event so I knew it would go well. The shop provided chocolate covered strawberries and various other goodies for us to munch on throughout the evening. We even sampled a bunch of raw chocolates with varying degrees of cocoa. Then we got to the truffle making. We had prepared ganacheand our choice of toppings. I have to say, the old bay truffles I made were amazing. Crab seasoning on chocolate. Weird, yes, at first. but the salty/sweet combo was great. We had little chocolate bowels to make a cute little gift bag with all our goodies. I'm still working my way through the 15 truffles I ended up with. So much yum.
