Because I don't intend on writing the entire story on my blog. Some things should not be public knowledge. Sorry, you're about to be all "why the hell is she even writing this???" confused!
So, last night I went out to dinner with my new ladies group. Just four of us at a new and instantly popular restaurant. E. was getting some teasing because a guy she met on Twitter (her job is in marketing/all that FB/Tw/blog stuff, so it's not that weird) and he was at the bar. She was debating whether to actually go meet him for real. Well, after seeing his picture we decided he was cute enough and she should. Of course, right as she was showing me his picture he came up to our table and took a seat. Awkward! I was about to say something about his cheekbones, most likely. Well two girls were in the bathroom so E., guy, and I chatted a bit. She said she'd come over when we were through with dinner and talk with him some more. In there somewhere, he said I looked familiar. I insisted I didn't know him, especially from an old job of his where I had never worked. We called it a night and I wished E. luck...though she insisted there would never be any romance, she was only interested in him for business.
Then, about half way home....I was suddenly struck with the OMG I DO KNOW HIM!" insanity. But I wasn't 100%. I couldn't believe what a small world it could be. But I got his Twitter name from E. and did some stalking when I got him. About 95% sure it's him now. And this is someone I never need to see again. I thought he was gone forever. Ugg, it really is a small world. Everyone knows everyone somehow. At least when I told E. the short version of the story she agreed he was ok to look at but wasn't really into him being around. So yay on that.
I'm still just amazed that a new friend is so randomly connected to this person. It's weird!
