Indian Echo Caverns

Happy 2013! I was worried about my adventurous self, but we're not off to a bad start as far as exploring and trying new things. Last weekend I went to visit my friend Rob but instead of just hanging out he and his wife took me to a cavern not too far away. I am now hooked. I want to visit all the caves! This was a nice open cave, with 3 little lakes. Only a tiny amount of crouching. A part of me wants to go spelunking for real, but I'm a little claustrophobic so I'm scared. I may have to stick with these touristy caves for now. But if I can find a beginners course of cave exploration I may try and work up the nerve to do something more adventurous.

So fun things about this trip:

There were bunnies, goats, and a rooster to hang with outside.
There was a lonely bat who was like, avoiding hibernation or something.
The PA Hermit - look it up. Crazy guy lived in the cave for a bit. We saw his little rock bed.
Lakes in caverns = awesome
A lot of cave rock looks like melted mashmellow
I really wanted to climb inside the cave except 1) it was too wet and 2) The lady said my hand oils would prevent more rock from forming so I felt bad about wanting to
