I still need to write about the two-day hike John and I did over Memorial Day weekend...but I've been preoccupied and neglecting the blog. Soon, I hope!
For now...one of the reasons I've been MIA: I got a new job!
Moving up in the world to Senior Proposal Editor (not that I'm not already that at my current job, but now I get the official title).
This job will allow me to (eventually) move back to Maryland and be with John. No more 2 hour drives in rush hour (well, you know, unless it snows). It may be a bit stressful at the start as the company needs some guidance, but if they listen to even half of what I suggest we'll have smooth times eventually.
Next Friday's my last day, then I'm taking a week off to chill before starting at the new place.

Yay! Congratulations, Melissa! :) I guess this makes me feel better about your never responding to my last message or telling me whether John's uncle still wants turkeys. ;) But seriously, congrats. I'm so happy for you!
You know I am bad about responding sometimes! Sorry. John just yelled at me about turkeys too. I figured you'd let me know if there are still turkeys to be had. I believe he still wants some, but let me verify.
I know you're bad sometimes. I was just teasing. I've been busy, too, with schoolwork, so I've been bad about doing anything or keeping up with people. We still have turkeys. My father-in-law hasn't decided what to do with them yet. So if John's uncle still wants some, let me know how many and I'll put in the request to see if I can get some!
