Nashville Part 1

Ladies weekend in Nashville was pretty cold and rainy. Not exactly what we wanted in a trip to the south. But we made it work and had fun.

When we arrived Friday night we first got lost trying to find our rental car. The new state of the art, easy to use rental car facility - yeah, that was great once we found it. But we wandered around the G area of the parking garage for a bit before realizing that the cars were elsewhere. We cannot blame jet-lag.

The short drive to the hotel would have been fine without the rain. Ahh well, everything in Nashville is within 20 minutes. We were greeted by a nice bachelorette party with t-shirts that read "Bride's Bitches" and lots of boots. Ohhh the boots. We were really hoping they were on another floor. Never saw them again.

To satisfy Emily's need for local beer, we went out to Blackstone Brewery. Had a very yummy Nut Brown Ale.

On Saturday we met up with Emily's friends for brunch. We did not eat at the Loveless Cafe, since it was a 1 hour 45 minute wait for a table. We got to see it and shop for jam. Oh and see the awesome out house. And we did get the scenic tour of Nashville. Next time Lou owes us a trip to Tim McGraw's house! Oh and the mountain folk moonshine barn...how did we not plan our trip to include that?
