Vermont/Boston Road Trip Part 2

No vacation of mine is complete without tasting the local brews, so to Long Trail we ventured. We had an awesome waiter who even gave us some free samples. They also serve their samplers in muffin tins! Loved it. Sadly, the best beer we had was not a regular brew. But if you manage to find the Culmination anywhere, get it. Perfect snowy beer.

The next day was time for snowboarding! Or, spa time. Depending on which you prefer. I had some serious hot tub time and it was wonderful. Outdoors! But you can swim from the heated pool to inside. And it had a great view of the mountains.

Also on this trip I had a fascination with ice. I didn't get any pictures of the ice formations on all the rocks. because it was almost all spotted while driving. But it's awesome, trust me. And the rivers? Water flowing under, over, around ice in layers, chucks, over rocks. It pretty damn cool.

Ok, so after we'd had our fill out outdoor adventures we went back to Boston. The original plan was to just fly home but it was actually about $20 cheaper to get a hotel and stay a night because of a great early morning deal. So we did some Freedom Trail exploring, had some food, and watched the Super Bowl. Note: If it's not a Boston sports team, Boston doesn't give a damn. Also, it was 55 degrees! I left my coat in my hotel room. In Boston. In February!
