So my hiking group and I set off on the 8 mile journey on the Appalachian Trail. (4 miles up and 4 back). The first 2 miles are the worst uphill section. And it wasn't that bad! But there was a clear separation of guys in front, talking about music and beer, and girls in back, talking about boys and trees. We mingled better later! So the first overlook was Annapolis Rocks. Amazing views.

Why do I look sad? This is a happy place. |
I want to climb this...but I need a rope. |

After a nice break we headed up the trail to Black Rock Cliff. This overlook was not as crowded so we had some time mostly to ourselves. We broke out a few beers and enjoyed the sites.
After hiking the 4 miles back to the cars we went off to a local bar for some great craft beer. Hilarity ensued. I believe at one point there was discussion of trying me to a keg (so I didn't get lost when I passed out one a float trip, obviously the best solution is a beer flotation device).
