Open Hearts

Jane Seymour (yes the JS from Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman) has used part of an essay I wrote in her new book, Open Hearts. It's a cute little book about love. It includes her artwork as well as personal experiences of her own and others (me!). Her new open hearts jewelry collection and paintings really speaks to my sentiments-love can be painful and grand, but through it all you need to remain true to yourself. Great Valentine's gift, if you still need something.

Here's my DPS:

I know you can't read that. I may type it up later.

Yay! Congratulations! :) And the sentiment in the part of your essay is nice. But did you really write an essay about jewelry? Or was that bit just added in for the book? Or was the essay written especially for the book in the first place?

Well before it was jewelry it was a painting and a concept. (about keeping your heart open in order to love) So the essay was about the idea behind this design. It was for a contest to win a necklace way back when. Added bonus was JS remembered the essay and wanted to use it in the book when she finally decided to to that.

Ah. That's very cool that she remembered it. I'm really proud of you, as always. Yay yay, Melissa!
